Apple iPad: 8.500 Anwendungen im App Store

Bevor Steve Jobs gestern abend das iPhone vorstellte, nannte er noch aktuelle Zahlen zum Apple iPad. 8.500 Anwendungen befinden sich nun im App Store. Zusammen wurden mehr als 35 Millionen Apps heruntergeladen.

Da Apple Ende Mai bereits mehr als zwei Millionen iPads verkauft hatte, befinden sich jetzt im Schnitt neue 17 Anwendungen auf dem iPad. Wie hoch der Anteil der kostenpflichten Apps ist, sagte Jobs nicht.

Der Bildschirm des iPad misst in der Diagonalen 9,7 Zoll. Es ist 1,27 cm dünn und wiegt 680 Gramm. Im iPad steckt ein 1 GHz schneller Apple-Prozessor mit der Bezeichnung A4, ein Beschleunigungssensor, ein Kompass, WLAN n und Bluetooth.

Downloads mit bis zu 7,2 Mbit/s

Daten kann das iPad außerdem über HSDPA mit bis zu 7,2 Mbit/s herunterladen. Der Mobilfunkzugang ist allerdings auf eine Datenverbindung beschränkt.

Telefonate lassen sich darüber nicht führen. A-GPS gibt es nur in der Version mit UMTS-Modul. Apple nutzt beim iPad das neue Micro-SIM-Format.

Well Marcus, I cant say I am surprised. I have know you for many years and among being that most ciertave of our group you have always been driven and motivated, always wanting to create and own something of your own and I have no doubt that you will achieve this.
