Das HTC Touch wird zumeist unter anderem Namen erscheinen - als T-Mobile MDA Touch, Vodafone VPA Touch oder O2 Xda nova. Drei Netzbetreiber bringen das HTC Touch leicht verändert unter eigenem Namen heraus. Intern heißt das Touch auch HTC 3450.
Das HTC TouchDas Besondere am HTC Touch ist die neue Oberfläche TouchFLO. Die Navigation und Eingabe von Texten erfolgt nicht über Tasten, sondern über einen Touchscreen. Den gibt es bereits in vielen anderen Smartphones, doch dort kommt meist ein Stift zum Einsatz. Diesen hat das HTC Touch zwar immer noch, in den meisten Fällen reicht aber der Daumen. Es lassen sich nicht nur Schaltflächen anklicken, sondern ähnlich den Mausgesten kann man in Menüs sehr schnell navigieren.
Alternative zum Apple iPhone
Dieses Konzept kennt man bereits vom Apple iPhone, doch streng genommen ist das iPhone nicht einmal ein Smartphone. Es lassen sich keine Programme aufspielen. Apple behält die Kontrolle über das Gerät. Gerade deshalb wird das HTC Touch auch als die Alternatative zum Apple iPhone angesehen.
Doch so schnell man das HTC Touch auch bedienen kann, an anderer Stelle wird man dann doch noch ausgebremst. Alle Programme sind vorhanden, um mit dem HTC im Internet unterwegs zu sein, doch es fehlt UMTS für eine schnelle Internetanbindung. Das Multimedia-Smartphone hat zwar eine 2-Megapixel-Kamera, diese hat jedoch eine so große Verschlussverzögerung, dass sie als Partykamera nicht taugt.

Was genau möchten Sie denn synchronisieren? Ein Datenkabel und eine Software für Windows liegen dem Lieferumfang bei. Damit sollte es funktionieren.
