Das Palm Pre erscheint ohne SIM-Lock
Wenn ein neues Handy exklusiv bei einem Netzbetreiber erscheint, dann heißt das noch lange nicht, dass es nur dort zu haben oder zu nutzen ist. Manche sind eben exklusiver - wie das iPhone.
Das Apple-Handy gibt es in Deutschland schließlich nur bei T-Mobile - wenn man von den Importen aus Nachbarländern einmal absieht. Die Exklusivität beim Palm Pre besteht jedoch bloß darin, dass es nicht bei einem anderen Netzbetreiber zu haben sein wird.
Das Palm Pre wird bei O2 ohne Vertrag und SIM-Lock erhältlich seinFür den Kunden ist das ein Vorteil. O2 wird das Palm Pre nicht nur ohne Vertrag, sondern auch ohne SIM-Lock verkaufen. Alle deutschen Netze stehen dem Smartphone damit offen.
Das Palm Pre auf Raten kaufen
Einen Preis für das Pre hat O2 noch nicht bekanntgegeben. In einigen Tarifen wird es subventioniert werden. Man kann davon ausgehen, dass sich der Preis dort wie in den USA am iPhone orientieren wird.
Der Tarif der Wahl scheint für O2 aber der O2 o zu sein. Dort gibt es kein subventioniertes Gerät. Man kann stattdessen ein Handy auf Raten kaufen. MyHandy heißt das Programm. In 24 Monaten werden 25 Raten fällig.
Ein Smartphone mit Datenhunger
Die aktuellen Tarife hat O2 gerade erst eingeführt und erfrischend vereinfacht. Einen neuen Tarif wird es für das Palm Pre nicht geben. O2-Sprecher Albert Fetsch schloss gegenüber Pocketbrain aber auch nicht aus, dass es in einigen Punkten Anpassungen geben wird.
Offenbar erwartet man bei O2, dass das Palm Pre einen ähnlich hohen Datenhunger haben wird wie das iPhone.

That's a good question. There are plbabory a lot of third party sites/applications that would allow you to render video capture on your phone, as stated above. However, the rumor is that Palm will release video recording on the Pre sooner or later. There may have been a few reasons for this.Palm Pre is a great personal phone, more so, a business phone. There are a lot of personalized phones on the market, and in some instances, some are even better than the Pre, depending on what you desire in your device. Have you used your Pre much? Maybe one reason they didn't add video was because of battery life. Seriously. I do normal stuff on the phone, and it's fine. I talk on it, the battery lasts maybe about four hours. I watch videos. Oh, we're done. Four or five videos in, and my battery is halfway gone, if not more. Music isn't much better. Another reason may be that the camera needs a little tweaking. There must have been a reason.In any case, they're supposed to release an application down the road to correct this issue. Until then, we can either use third party applications, or even better, wait. Patience is a virtue. Besides, with any luck, they'll release a new, revamped version of the Pre. Pre 2.0. I hope they do. They can address a few of the current issues with a new release, like the camera, storage space and battery life. But as a phone goes, the Pre is actually a pretty nice device, considering the things it's capable of.Best of luck to you!
