Pink ist doch ein Microsoft-Handy

Allen Dementis zum Trotz scheint Microsoft nun doch ein eigenes Handy auf den Markt zu bringen. Zumindest wurde eine Werbeagentur angeheuert, die eine Kampagne für das "Pink Project" entwickeln soll.

Ende April berichtete das Wall Street Journal (WSJ) noch, dass Microsoft an einem Pink genanntem iPhone-Killer mitarbeite. Jetzt meldet ZDNet, ohne eine Quelle zu nennen, dass Pink auch offiziell unter dem Namen Microsoft erscheine. Es sei "Microsoft-branded".

Bislang ging man davon aus, dass Pink bloß eine Oberfläche für Windows Mobile 7 sei. Dieses Interface scheint es jetzt nur auf Geräten von Microsoft zu geben. HTC, der Hersteller der meisten Smartphones mit Windows Mobile, hat kürzlich erst eine solche neue Oberfläche vorgestellt: HTC Sense.

Gefertigt werden sollen die Pink-Handys laut ZDNet von Motorola oder Sharp. Beide Unternehmen haben bereits den Sidekick für Danger gebaut. Das Pink Phone von Microsoft soll sich an eine ähnliche Zielgruppe wenden.

Der Sidekick kam in die Schlagzeilen, als Hacker sich Zugriff auf die Daten des Sidekick von Paris Hilton verschafften.
