Windows Phone: 1x kaufen, 5x installieren
Jedes Handy-Betriebssystem bekommt seinen eigenen App Store, eine Download-Plattform für neue Software. Microsoft möchte seinen Windows Marketplace aber besonders nutzerfreundlich gestalten und erlaubt den Download eines gekauften Programms auf bis zu fünf Geräten - gleichzeitig.
Dies berichtet die Computerworld unter Berufung auf Microsoft-Manager Daniel Bouie, der dies während der Microsoft-Konferenz TechEd 2009 angekündigt hat. Diese fünf Smartphones müssen nicht einer Person gehören. Es lassen sich also Programme auch an Freunde und Familie weitergeben.

So wird Windows Mobile 6.5 aussehenAußerdem, so Bouie, lassen sich Programme innerhalb von 24 Stunden zurückgeben - ohne Angabe von Gründen.
Erst im Herbst auf dem Handy
Der Windows Marketplace wird der Download-Shop für das neue Betriebssystem Windows Mobile 6.5 sein, das erst im Herbst auf den ersten Smartphones erscheinen wird.
Microsoft nutzte die TechEd, um Windows Mobile 6.5 vorzustellen. Ab Sommer werden Entwickler dann eigene Anwendungen erstellen können. Ein Software Developer Kit (SDK) und ein Emulator wird dann erscheinen.
Ob Geräte mit Windows Mobile 6.1 eine Upgrade auf die Version 6.5 erhalten können, entscheiden die Handyhersteller. Microsoft macht dies aber prinzipiell möglich.
