Das Nokia E90 Communicator erhält seine Energie von einem 1500-MAh-Akku, der eine Standby-Zeit von 14 Tagen und eine reine Gesprächszeit von 5 Stunden ermöglicht. Die letzte Angabe scheint ausschließlich für Telefonate in GSM-Netzen zu gelten. Bei der Nutzung von UTMS, WLAN oder GPS wird sich diese Zeit um einiges verkürzen.
Display
Das E90 Communicator hat zwei Bildschirme: einen großen mit einer Auflösung mit 800 x 352 Pixeln im Inneren und einen kleineres, aber kein kleines Außendisplay. Dieses hat eine Auflösung von 240 x 320 Pixel. Beide Bildschirme zeigen bei einer Farbtiefe von 24 Bit mehr als 16 Mio. Farben an und sind auch bei Sonnenlicht gut lesbar.
Der Nutzer kann entscheiden, was auf dem Außendisplay angezeigt wird, wenn das Gerät zugeklappt wird. Dort kann der Active Desktop erscheinen, der alle wichtigen Infos auflistet - ähnlich dem Heute-Bildschirm von Windows Mobile. Dieser lässt sich individuell anpassen. Wird das im E90 im laufenden Betrieb zugeklappt, kann dort allerdings auch die Anwendung erscheinen, die gerade auf dem Innendisplay geöffnet war.
Speicher
Das E90 Communicator hat einen internen Speicher von 128 MB. Nokia hat zusätzlich eine Micro-SD-Karte mit 512 MB beigelegt. Hier sollte man auf den genauen Lieferumfang achten. Das Fach für die Micro-SD-Karte befindet sich an der Gehäuseseite unterhalb einer gut zugänglichen Klappe. Offiziell unterstützt werden Micro-SD-Karten mit bis zu 2 GB.
