It's Magic: Das zweite Google-Handy
Der Nachfolger des T-Mobile G1 wird in etwa so aussehen, wie man es sich erwartet hat. Die Überraschung ist jedoch, dass das G2 nicht bei T-Mobile, sondern als HTC Magic bei Vodafone erscheinen wird.
Das HTC Magic ist ein T-Mobile G1 ohne ausziehbare QWERTZ-Tastatur. Mit den Maßen von 11,3 x 5,5 x 1,4 cm und einem Gewicht von 119 Gramm fällt es entsprechend dünner und leichter aus.
HTC Magic von VodafoneDer Touchscreen misst 3,2 Zoll in der Diagonalen und zeigt 320 x 480 Bildpunkte an. Darunter befinden sich sechs Tasten zur Navigation und mittig ein Trackball. Bei Bedarf wird eine QWERTZ-Tastatur eingeblendet.
Ausgestattet wie das T-Mobile G1
Beim HTC Magic handelt es sich um das zweite Android-Smartphone von HTC. Auch hier findet man die Google-Programme, die es auch auf dem G1 gibt: Mail, Talk, Maps und YouTube. Man erhält aber auch direkten Zugriff auf die Download-Plattform von Vodafone.
Angetrieben wird das HTC Magic vom Qualcomm-Prozessor MSM7201A, der mit 528 MHz getaktet ist. Der Arbeitsspeicher ist 192 MB groß, der Speicher für Daten und Programme 512 MB. Letzterer lässt sich über Micro-SD-Karten erweitern.
Ins Internet gelangt das HTC Magic über HSPA (7,2 Mbit/s mit HSDPA, 2,0 Mbit/s mit HSUPA), EDGE oder WLAN. Mit dem GPS-Empfänger wird das Smartphone auch zum Navigationsgerät.
Ab April bei Vodafone
Auf der Rückseite befindet sich eine 3,2-Megapixel-Kamera mit Autofokus. Eine Akkuladung reicht für ein Dauergespräch von bis zu 7,5 Stunden oder für eine Standbyzeit von 27,5 Tagen.
Vodafone wird in einigen europäischen Ländern exklusiver Anbieter des HTC Magic sein. In Deutschland wird das zweite Google-Handy nur in Schwarz, in anderen Ländern nur in Weiß erhältlich sein.
Der Verkaufsstart ist für April geplant. Einen Preis hat Vodafone noch nicht genannt.

What a magnificent areuntvde! And the photos are stunningly beautiful. I especially enjoyed the Glass Cross, the gate in the Old City, the photo (by Yana) of you sitting in front of the Steak House with your bronze friend, and Yana walking into the sunrise near the Technical University. Also, all the night photos with random refractions of light were certainly of professional quality, as well. You are not only accepting the responsibility of working 12-hour shifts, as an adult, but you are also keeping one foot in the Land of Youth and Adventure. Enjoy it now, because sooner than you can imagine, the Land of Youth and Adventure will be more and more difficult to find! Do not awaken to find yourself in the shackles of age! I speak from experience, of course!
