Bundesregierung gegen Tagesschau auf dem iPhone

Die ARD plant eine kostenlose Anwendung, die die Nachrichten der Tagesschau auf das iPhone bringt. Die Bundesregierung ist dagegen. "Der öffentlich-rechtliche Rundfunk sollte mit Gratisangeboten nicht unnötig neue Geschäftsmodelle der privaten Anbieter gefährden", sagte Bernd Neumann, Staatsminister für Kultur und Medien im Bundeskanzleramt.

Gerade erst sind iPhone-Anwendungen von Bild und Welt erschienen, die kostenpflichtig sind. Die Zeitungsverlage kritisieren deshalb die Pläne der ARD. Anders als bei den Angeboten der Verlage werden über die iPhone-Anwendung der Tagesschau aber keine exklusiven Inhalte angeboten. Es handelt sich inhaltlich um das gleiche Angebot wie bei der mobilen Website.

"Der öffentlich-rechtliche Rundfunk muss gerade in einer Zeit, in der die privaten Anbieter zum Teil ums Überleben kämpfen, nicht alles machen, was wünschenswert wäre. Das ist ein Stück weit auch unabhängig von der Frage, ob dies die entsprechenden Staatsverträge zulassen oder nicht, eine Frage der Vernunft und des Umgangs miteinander", sagte Neumann weiter.

Einnahmequelle für die Verlage

Über iWelt und iBild kann man sich die jeweilig gedruckte Ausgabe schon am Tag vorher als PDF auf das iPhone holen. Diese Funktion gibt es aber nur gegen Aufpreis. Ab 22 Uhr steht sie zur Verfügung.

Welt Kompakt ist auf dem iPhone etwas teurer als die Bild. iWelt kostet mit PDF-Ausgabe 4,99 Euro pro Monat und 2,99 Euro ohne. Den ersten Monat gibt es für 1,59 Euro.

Die Bild-Zeitung nimmt 3,99 Euro pro Monat für die Version mit PDF-Ausgabe. Nur 1,59 Euro zahlt man für die reine iPhone-Anwendung. Den ersten Monat gibt es hier für 79 Cent.
