Navigon zeigt dem iPhone, wo es langgeht
Seit heute findet sich im Apple App Store der Navigon MobileNavigator, der aus dem iPhone ein Navigationsgerät gemacht. Voraussetzung ist das neue iPhone 3G S oder ein iPhone 3G mit iPhone OS 3.0.
Beim Navigon MobileNavigator handelt es sich um eine Onboard-Navigationslösung. Die Karten von Navteq befinden sich dabei auf dem iPhone. Die Routen werden direkt auf dem Gerät berechnet. Eine Internetverbindung muss nicht bestehen.

Der Navigon Mobile Navigator verlässt sich dabei ganz auf seine Karten und die GPS-Positionsdaten. Aktuelle Verkehrsdaten werden nicht berücksichtigt.
Aktionspreise bis Ende Juni
Bereits im Apple App Store erhältlich ist die Version mit dem Kartenmaterial von ganz Europa. Bis Ende Juni kostet diese Ausgabe 74,99 Euro, danach dann 99,99 Euro.
Später wird es auch eine Version mit regionalen Karten geben - zum Beispiel für Deutschland, Österreich und die Schweiz. Diese wird bis Ende Juni 49,99 Euro kosten, danach dann 69,99 Euro.
Navigon wird auch eine kostenlose Lite-Version in den Apple App Store einstellen. Dort kann man zwar das komplette Kartenmaterial ansehen, sich aber nicht im Verkehr zum Ziel leiten lassen.
Hoch- und Querformat
Der Navigon MobileNavigator für das iPhone bringt die Funktionen Reality View Pro, Fahrspurassistent Pro, Geschwindigkeitsassistent, Tag & Nacht Modus und die Möglichkeit mit, sich POIs entlang der Route anzeigen zu lassen.
Zieladressen lassen sich aus den gespeicherten Kontakten direkt ansteuern. Dreht man das iPhone um 90 Grad, dann wechselt die Kartendarstellung automatisch vom Hoch- ins Querformat.

Love this site, does everything you need for your iPhone or iPod. From apps to waaerlplps. You couldn't ask for anything more simpilar then finding what you need on here.. So I reviewed the app in iTunes, and to quote: This is a beuatiful RSS reader and arguably produces the best rendering of cached articles since the late if not always lamented Printful. It's incredibly comprehensive and as a result perhaps a little intimidating at first use. For instance, while RssBook syncs seamlessly with Google Reader it's a bit disconcerting to be confronted with 5000-odd articles when your Google account is always upto date! This results in a fair amount of clutter at timesThere are also some noticeable short-comings. There's no obvious mark all as read button (you need to select unread only using the filter icon). Frustratingly the app doesn't remember filter setting I'm a bit OCD obessive and filter feeds by Label and then Feeds (so as to mirror my Google settings), but everytime you relaunch, the UI resets to default. Finally, for an app that is so detailed, the inability to drill and pull the linked web page into cache if the RSS feed itself is truncated seems a bit of an omission?Still I'll give this 3/5 for the moment and given as the developer appears to have a list of updates up his sleeve, I'll similarly update this review To be fair only Byline really seems to have mastered the seamless caching of webpages behind RSS feeds it takes a little longer to sync as a result, but at 30 000 ft there generally isn't a lot of wi-fi around so it's my #1 choice for offline reading. The biggest issue for me is that the app doesn't remember filter settings hopefully the next update will fix this?
