Hi Jack , Bugden is an old Anglo-Saxon Surname originating from ehetirBuckden in Huntingdonshire or Buckden in West Yorkshire around 1086. The Huntingdonshire Bugedene was first recorded in the Doomsday bookof 1086 and means The Valley of the Bucks .The first recorded spelling of the family name was in 1195 and was for aWilliam de Buggenden in Lincolnshire . Surnames were required from this dateas King Richard had dreamed up something he called Poll Tax !!!! I checked on Genes Reunited and found 300 people named Bugden who were born between 1910 and 2010 . They seem to be mainly in the Southern Counties of England but also quite a few in Australia and some in Canada and the USA. I am not aware of any Bugden's living in Buckden today.I hope this has been of interest to you.RegardsTony Elliott http://foxpkf.com pyjgbivi [link=http://exjtvwm.com]exjtvwm[/link]
