Zweites Google-Handy erscheint nicht
Es sollte das zweite Google-Handy sein, das Kogan Agora, und das erste, das das Open-Source-Betriebssystem Android nutzt, ohne direkt mit Google zusammenzuarbeiten. Jetzt wurde das Erscheinen auf unbestimmte Zeit verschoben.
Mehrere australische Newsportale berichten übereinstimmend, dass der Unternehmer Ruslan Kogan Anfang des Jahres ein Treffen mit Google gehabt habe, nachdem er einen Protypen des Kogan Agora im Rahmen der CES 2009 in Las Vegas vorgestellt habe.
Das Kogan Agora sollte das zweite Smartphone mit Android sein
Google habe ihn darauf hingewiesen, dass zukünftige Android-Anwendungen nicht auf dem Agora laufen könnten, da das australische Google-Handy nur die Auflösung von 320 x 240 Bildpunkten unterstütze. Von dieser möglichen Interoperabilität berichtet Ruslan Kogan auch in seinem Blog.
Zur Verschwiegenheit verpflichtet
Weitere Details sind nicht bekannt. Anscheinend musste Ruslan Kogan Google gegenüber eine Verschwiegenheitserklärung abgeben.
Android ist ein Betriebssytem, das lizenzfrei genutzt und den Wünschen der Hardware-Entwickler angepasst werden kann. Das Kogan Agora und das Kogan Agora Pro sollten Ende Januar in Australien und Neuseeland erscheinen.

Do you realize how irnoic this is?Maintaining old software does cost his company more. Why should he maintain pages for a dying browser, which has bad security.And why should government attack him? Isn't government supposed to protect? Shouldn't the governments be stopping all the browser attacks, security holes, and financial theft centered out of China, Russia, and the USA? And of course, Brazil.But, the great irony is WordPress blames their problems on browser issues. When their problem is they don't, or maybe cannot, fix their software problems.So, we want the courts to tax this guy for telling the truth.And wordpress gets a free pass because of what? WordPress has cost me so much, I have to move to a real platform. It will be cheaper to learn Joomla . I say tax wordpress, and a thank you to Kogan.IMHO.Wayne
