1&1: Aus EDGE- wird HSDPA-Flatrate

Flatrates können leicht zum Verlustgeschäft werden, daher bauen die Anbieter meist die eine oder andere Fußnote ein. Die Daten-Flatrate fürs Handy hatte 1&1 daher bislang auf EDGE beschränkt, doch nun wird aus der EDGE- eine HSDPA-Flatrate - allerdings nur für Neukunden.

Wer jetzt den Tarif "1&1 Mobile Internet Surf-Flat Plus" für monatlich 19,99 Euro oder den Tarif "Surf & Phone-Flat" für 29,99 Euro abschließt, kann Daten mit bis zu 7,2 Mbit/s aufs Handy laden. Genutzt wird das HSDPA-Netz von Vodafone.

Eine Fußnote gibt es aber auch in diesem Fall. Nach einem Gigabyte wird dann doch wieder auf EDGE heruntergeschaltet. Bei Daten-Flatrates fürs Laptop liegt diese Grenze normalerweise bei 5 oder 10 Gigabyte.

 

HTC Touch 3G neu im Programm


Gleichzeitig hat 1&1 auch ein neues Smartphone ins Programm genommen: das HTC Touch 3G. Im Tarif "1&1 Mobile Internet Surf-Flat Plus" kostet es 149,99 Euro, im Tarif "Surf & Phone-Flat" 99,99 Euro.

Der Nachfolger erscheint äußerlich wie das Vorgängermodell HTC Touch, ist aber mit aktueller Technik ausgestattet. So kann es den Zugang zum Internet nicht nur über HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE und WLAN aufbauen, mit einem 528-MHz-Prozessor verarbeitet es die Daten auch recht schnell.
